I+D+I

Emabesa and the Benalmádena City Council, in close collaboration with Aqualia, have as a priority to adapt to the climatic, technological, digital and social challenges of society. And for this reason we work on different objectives.

Commitment | Aqualia initiatives

We integrate both external and internal stimuli for project development. This approach ranges from the identification of opportunities to the implementation and assessment of results. Innovation involves all staff and stakeholders, with a special emphasis on highly specialized people who are exclusively dedicated to innovation.

Our projects are integrated into European, national and regional R&D&I support programs, enhancing Emabesa's projects and multiplying their impact, as well as the company's assets. The methodology used focuses on obtaining results through an efficient organization and a management system that optimizes and protects the value of new products and processes.

Emabesa and Aqualia's innovation projects contribute significantly to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, with special emphasis on:

  • Affordable and high quality water and sanitation service (SDG 6).
  • Optimized energy balance (SDG 7) without impacting the climate (SDG 13).
