Aqualia, in its commitment to ensure gender equality (SDG or Sustainable Development Goal 5) and the reduction of inequalities (SDG 10), received the Equality Distinction (DIE) in 2011 for its policy of equal opportunities between men and women. The Administration positively valued the increase in the presence of women in certain positions, the equality measures in the selection processes and the Company's positioning against gender-based violence. The Ministry of Health, Social Affairs and Equality has been granting extensions, so that the company maintains the "Equality in the Company" badge at the present time.

Diversity in Aqualia is materialized, among other things, in its adherence to the Diversity Charter, a European charter of principles that companies and organizations in Spain sign to make visible their commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

In this line, Aqualia is one of the allied companies of #CEOPorLaDiversidad. The initiative, led by the Adecco Foundation and the CEOE Foundation, aims to accelerate the development of strategies that contribute to business excellence, the competitiveness of talent in Spain and the reduction of inequality and social exclusion.

The company also maintains its EFR (Family Responsible Company) certificate. This certificate directly affects the quality of employment, personal and professional development, equal opportunities and support for the families of the company's employees.
